Morocco Desert Group Tours From Marrakech & Fes
Shared group adventures to the Sahara. 8–12 travelers. Family-run from Merzouga, at the edge of Erg Chebbi. Camel treks at sunset, nights under Saharan stars — all-inclusive, no hidden fees.
Sahara Group Tours — What You Need to Know
The Sahara is about 9 to 10 hours from Marrakech by road, and about 7 hours from Fes. Most travelers do it in 3 days — enough time to reach Merzouga, spend a night in the dunes, and return. If you have more time, the 4-day option adds a relaxed pace, an extra overnight in the scenic Dades Valley, and a proper stop at the Todgha Gorges.
Both tours head to Erg Chebbi near Merzouga — the classic golden dunes you see in every Morocco travel photo. The drive is part of the experience: the High Atlas or Middle Atlas mountains, UNESCO kasbahs, palm oases, and ancient Berber villages. By the time the dunes rise on the horizon, you've already crossed half the landscapes of Morocco.
Every tour includes pickup from your hotel or riad, transport in an air-conditioned minibus, an English-speaking Berber driver-guide, a sunset camel trek, a night in a traditional desert camp with dinner, and breakfast before the journey back. Shared group departures run on scheduled dates. Private tours run on any date.
